Lancasteris anunincorporated communityandcensus-designated place(CDP) inLancaster County,Virginia,United States.[2]It is thecounty seat,and is also known asLancaster Courthouseor by an alternative spelling,Lancaster Court House.The community was first drawn as a CDP prior to the2020 censusand had a population of 105 at the said census.

Lancaster lies alongVirginia State Route 3,23 miles (37 km) southeast ofWarsawand 7 miles (11 km) northwest ofKilmarnock,the largest community in Lancaster County.

Belle Isleand theLancaster Court House Historic Districtare listed on theNational Register of Historic Places.[3]
