Lasha Bekauri(born 26 July 2000) is a Georgianjudoka.[1]He won the gold medal in themen's 90 kgevent at the2020 Summer Olympicsin Tokyo, Japan.[2]He also won the gold medal in his event at the2019 Judo World Mastersand the2021 European Judo Championships.

Career[edit]

Bekauri won the silver medal in themen's 90 kg eventat the2019 Summer Universiadeheld in Naples, Italy.[3]In that same year, he won the gold medal in the men's 90 kg event at the2019 Judo World Mastersheld in Qingdao, China.

Bekauri won one of the bronze medals in the men's 90kg event at the2021 Judo World Mastersheld in Doha, Qatar.[4]A month later, he won the gold medal in his event at the2021 Judo Grand Slam Tel Avivheld in Tel Aviv, Israel.[5]A few months later, he also won the gold medal inhis eventat the2021 European Judo Championshipsheld in Lisbon, Portugal.[6]
