TheLeague of Communists Organisation in the Yugoslav People's Army (LCY–YPA)[a]was the branch of theLeague of Communists of Yugoslavia(SKJ) for members of theYugoslav People's Army.[1]
Description[edit]
The LCY–YPA generally constituted a conservative grouping within party organizations.[2]At the LCY–YPA's final 9th Conference in Belgrade in November 1989, the head of the organization's committeeAdmiralPetar Šimićspoke out against multi-party democracy.[3]
After the dissolution of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia in January 1990, the LCY–YPA was reformed as theLeague of Communists – Movement for Yugoslaviain November 1990.[4]
