Jones is the daughter of film editorRobert C. Jonesand the granddaughter of editorHarmon Jones,[1]each of whom has been nominated for an Academy Award for editing.[citation needed]Jones was the assistant editor for her father on two films,See No Evil, Hear No EvilandThe Babe.She has several editing credits for independent films and documentaries, and was the associate editor onGrumpier Old Men.[2]Her first editing credit on a major studio film was forMurder at 1600,which she co-edited withBilly Weber.Jones, Weber andSaar Kleinwere widely recognized for the filmThe Thin Red Line.They were nominated for anAcademy Award,anAmerican Cinema EditorsEddie Award and aSatellite Award.Jones has also collaborated withPaul Thomas Andersonon several films.
