Lioujia District^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4]^[5]^[6](Chinese:Lục giáp Khu;Hanyu Pinyin:Liùjiǎ Qū;Tongyong Pinyin:Liòujiǎ Cyu;Wade–Giles:Liu⁴-chia³Ch'ü¹;Pe̍h-ōe-jī:La̍k-kah-khu) is a ruraldistrictof about 21,392 residents inTainan,Taiwan.

History[edit]

After thehandover of Taiwan from Japanto theRepublic of Chinain 1945, Lioujia was organized as arural townshipofTainan County.On 25 December 2010, Tainan County was merged with Tainan City and Lioujia was upgraded to adistrictof thecity.

Geography[edit]

Lioujia District is bordered to the east byNansi District;to the north byLiouying DistrictandDongshan District;to the south byGuantian DistrictandDanei District,and to the west byXiaying District.^[7]

Liujia, Jiatung, Jianan, Longhu, Qijia, Erjia, Shuilin, Zhongshe, Guigang, Jingpu, Wangye and Daqiu Village.
