Lippo Hertzka(Hungarian:Hertzka Lipót,19 November 1904 – 14 March 1951)[1]was a Hungarianfootballplayer and manager ofJewishdescent.[2]He played forEssener Turnerbund,MTK BudapestandReal Sociedad.[3]After retiring, he coached seven teams, including Real Sociedad andReal Madrid,a team which he coached for 2 years (1930–1932) and led to an undefeatedLa Ligachampionship during the1931–32season, which meant the first La Liga title for thewhitesquad. He also won two league titles in Portugal forBenfica.[4][5]

He coached Real Sociedad,[6]Athletic Bilbao,Sevilla,[7]Real Madrid,Hércules,Granada,Benfica,Belenenses,Porto,Estoril,Académica,Vila Real,PortimonenseandUnião Montemor.[8]
