John Wesley United Kingdom Theschoonerwas driven ashore atDuncansby Head,Caithness.Her crew survived. She was on a voyage fromLondontoDumfries.John Wesleyhad become a wreck by 4 April.[5]
Notre Dame de Bon Port France The ship was driven ashore and scuttled atSwansea,Glamorgan,United Kingdom.She was on a voyage fromNantes,Loire-Inférieureto Swansea.[6]Notre Dame de Bon Portwas refloated on 3 April with the assistance of threetugs.[7]

Black Hawk United States The ship capsized and sank in theBay of Bengalwith the loss of all on board. She was on a voyage fromCalcutta,IndiatoBoston, Massachusetts.[22]
John Purdie United Kingdom Theschooner,in ballast, struck a sunken rock near theRunnel StoneoffGwennap Head,Cornwall and sank. Her crew escaped in the ship′s boat; they were rescuced byKellow(United Kingdom).John Purdiewas on a voyage fromSt Michael's Mount,Cornwall, toLlanelly,Glamorgan.[23][13]
