Look Japan(ルックジャパン,Rukku Japan)was an English language magazine published fromJapan.It was created to introduce Japanese culture to expatriate foreigners who were unfamiliar with the country.

History and profile[edit]

Look Japanwas established in 1953 by Takenori Kimura ( mộc thôn võ tắcKimura Takenori).[1][2]It was published in English,Chinese,andSpanisheditions.[3]The offices of the publisher, Look Japan Ltd, were in the Asahi Seimei Hibiya Building inYurakucho,Chiyoda,Tokyo.[1]

Jay Brushart of thePortsmouth Daily Timessaid that the format ofLook Japanwas similar to that ofTIME.[4]Ed Gibson of theHarlan Daily Enterprisesaid thatLook Japanwas "a slick publication, a lot likePeoplethat offers the non-Japanese a most interesting look at the country and its people. "[5]As of 1991, it was published inSingapore.[6]
