Lubaczów County(Polish:powiat lubaczowski) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) inSubcarpathian Voivodeship,south-easternPoland,on the border withUkraine.It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of thePolish local government reformspassed in 1998. Its administrative seat and largest town isLubaczów,which lies 81 kilometres (50 mi) east of the regional capitalRzeszów.The county contains three other towns:Oleszyce,7 km (4 mi) west of Lubaczów,Narol,26 km (16 mi) north-east of Lubaczów, andCieszanów,12 km (7 mi) north of Lubaczów.
The county covers an area of 1,308.37 square kilometres (505.2 sq mi). As of 2019 its total population is 55,438, out of which the population of Lubaczów is 12,018, that of Oleszyce is 2,974, that of Narol is 2,071, that of Cieszanów is 1,913, and the rural population is 36,462.[1]
