Maaike Head(born 11 September 1983 inAmsterdam) is a Dutchrower.She competed in thelightweight double scullsat the2012 Summer Olympicsand the2016 Summer Olympics.In the latter, she won the gold medal together withIlse Paulis.
Career
[edit]In 2016, Head and Paulis broke theworld recordin the lightweight double sculls.
Before rowing, she participated in speed skating, winning a gold medal in the team pursuit at the 2003 World Junior Championships inKushiro,Japan, and participating inDutch Allround Championships.[1]
