Maddox Park

Maddox Parkis a 51.5-acre (208,000 m2) community park located in the west side ofAtlanta(in theBankheadneighborhood), acrossDonald Lee Hollowell ParkwayfromBankhead MARTA station.[1]It is approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) west ofGeorgia Tech.The park has an existing rail line running through it, which is part of the proposed route of theBelt Line.The park is named in honor of former Atlanta mayorRobert Maddoxand opened in 1931.

The park is planned to expand while connecting to theBeltLineand a series of parks encircling the city.[2]
