TheMedina Province(Arabic:مِنْطَقَة ٱلْمَدِيْنَة ٱلْمُنَوَّرَة,romanized:Minṭaqat Al-Madīnah Al-Munawarah) is aprovince(minṭaqah) ofSaudi Arabiaon thecountry's western sidealong theRed Seacoast. It has an area of 151,990 km (94,440 mi) and a population of 2,132,679 (2017 Census)[1]subdivided into sevenmuḥafaẓat(governorates):
