History

In 1883, theEastern Bengal Railwayconstructed a1,676 mm(5 ft 6 in)-widebroad-gauge railwayfromBaruipur JunctiontoDiamond Harbourvia Magra Hat.[3]

Electrification

Electrification fromBaruipur JunctiontoDiamond Harbourincluding Magra Hat was completed with 25 kV AC overhead system in 1965–66.[4]

Station complex

The platform is well sheltered. The station possesses facilities including water and sanitation. There is an approach road to the station.[5]
