Martin Sulle

Martin Hhaway Sulle(born 28 December 1982) is a Tanzanian long-distance runner who specializes in thehalf marathon.

He made his international debut at the1999 IAAF World Cross Country Championships,where he was 15th in the junior race. He competed at the event the following year inVilamoura,Portugal and was fifth in the junior race. He also made his global senior debut as he ran in the men's short race, finishing in twelfth.[1]

He was the winner of the inaugural edition of theOeiras International Cross Countryrace in late 2000.[2]He also won half marathon races in Portugal, taking the 2001Cidade de Ovar Half Marathontitle and theSetúbal Half Marathonwith a course record time of 1:01:25.[3][4]

He won a bronze medal at the2003 World Half Marathon Championshipswhich was also held in Vilamoura. Shortly after, he won theGiro al Sas di Trento10K race in Italy.[5]He was the 2006 winner of theHumarathonin France.[6]He was thesilver medallistin the half marathon at the2007 All-Africa Games,finishing runner-up toDeriba Merga.He returned to the global stage after a long absence at the2010 IAAF World Cross Country Championshipsand placed 41st in the men's senior race.[1]
