Mashta Azar(Arabic:مشتى عازار) is a village in northwesternSyria,located west ofHomsin theWadi al-Nasarahvalley, a region north ofTalkalakh.According to theSyria Central Bureau of Statistics,Mashta Azar had a population of 783 in the 2004 census.[1]Its inhabitants are predominantlyChristians.[2]The village has aGreek Orthodox Churchand aGreek Catholic Church[3][4]
It is a popular summer destination and tourist attraction in Syria.[citation needed]
