Matija Boben(born 26 February 1994) is a Slovenianfootballerwho plays as acentre-backforLiga IclubCFR Cluj.
Club career
[edit]He made his professional debut in theSlovenian PrvaLigain the 2013–14 season forNK Triglav Kranj.
On 4 July 2017, he signed a three-year contract with a one-year-extension option with theRussian Premier LeagueclubFC Rostov.[1]
On 28 January 2019, he joined Italian clubLivornoon loan until the end of the 2018–19 season.[2]On 28 June 2019, Rostov and Livorno agreed on a permanent transfer.[3]
On 5 October 2020, he went toTernanaon loan.[4]
On 8 July 2021, he moved toTernanaon a permanent basis and signed a three-year contract.[5]On 3 August 2022, Boben was loaned toPescara.[6]
International career
[edit]Boben made his debut forSloveniain a January 2017friendly matchagainstFinlandand his second international was a June 2018 friendly againstMontenegro.[7]
