TheMiami RedHawks men's basketball team— known as theMiami Redskinsuntil 1997 — is theintercollegiate men's basketballprogram representingMiami University.The school competes in theMid-American Conference(MAC) inDivision Iof theNational Collegiate Athletic Association(NCAA). TheRedHawksplay home basketball games atMillett HallinOxford, Ohioon the university campus. Miami has reached the NCAA Championship'sSweet Sixteenfour times and has been the MAC regular season champions 20 times. The RedHawks have appeared in theNCAA Tournament17 times, most recently in2007.The team is currently coached byTravis Steele.

In May 2013, the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame inducted 11 players and coaches who starred in the state including Miami'sWayne Embry,Randy Ayers,Ron HarperandWally Szczerbiak.
