Micah Philippe Jude Hamilton(born 13 November 2003) is an English professionalfootballerwho plays as anattacking midfielderorwingerforPremier LeagueclubManchester City.[3]He is anEngland youthinternational.[4]

Club career[edit]

Hamilton came through the academy atManchester Cityhaving signed with the club for the first time as a nine-year old.[5]

On 23 September 2017, as a 13-year-old, Hamilton, operating as aball boyfor theCitizens' senior team in aPremier Leaguematch at home toCrystal Palace,was filmed receiving instructions from managerPep Guardiola.[6][7]

Hamilton was promoted from the Man City U18 side to the U21s at the start of the 2023–24 season, and represented the club in theEFL Trophyin September 2023.[8]

Hamilton was included in the Man City first team squad for anEFL Cuptie againstNewcastle Unitedin September 2023.[9]He made his professional debut on 13 December 2023, starting in theUEFA Champions Leaguein theCitizens' lastgroup stagematch, away atRed Star Belgrade,scoring his first goal in the 19th minute in a 3–2 victory.[10]He was included in the Manchester City squad that travelled toSaudi Arabiato play in the2023 FIFA Club World Cup.[11]

International career[edit]

Having previously represented England atU16level, Hamilton made his debut for theEngland Elite League squadduring a 5–1 win overPolandat theBialystok City Stadiumon 22 March 2024.[12]

Style of play[edit]

Primarily a left winger, he has also operated as a central or attacking midfielder or right winger for Manchester City's youth teams.[13]
