Milind Kumar(born 15 February 1991) is an Indian-born cricketer who currently plays for theUnited States national cricket team.Before moving to America he played forDelhi,Sikkim,andTripurain top-level Indian domestic cricket and forBrothers Unionin Bangladesh. He is a right-handed batsman and an occasionaloff-breakbowler.

Early life

Milind Kumar was born on 15 February 1991 inDelhi,India to Suman Kumar, a banker.[1][2]Before moving to the United States, he worked for theOil and Natural Gas Corporation.[1]

Domestic career

He was bought byDelhi Daredevilsin theIPLSeason 7 Auction for INR 10 Lakh. He was bought byRoyal Challengers Bangalorein IPL12 (2019) at his base price 20 lakhs.

Ahead of the2018–19 Ranji Trophy,he was drafted from Delhi toSikkim.[3]he was the top scorer in2018–19 Ranji Trophywith 1331 runs.[4]In December 2018, he was bought by theRoyal Challengers Bangalorein theplayer auctionfor the2019 Indian Premier League.[5][6]

In August 2019, he was named in the India Green team's squad for the2019–20 Duleep Trophy.[7][8]Later the same month, he left Sikkim cricket team ahead of the2019–20 Ranji Trophytournament.[9]He was released by the Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the2020 IPL auction.[10]

In June 2021, he was selected to take part in theMinor League Crickettournament in the United States following the players' draft.[11]

In June 2023, Kumar was drafted in Round 4 by theTexas Super Kingsto play in the inaugural season ofMajor League Cricket.[12]

International career

In March 2024, he was named in the United States' squad for theirTwenty20 International(T20I) seriesagainst Canada.[13]He made his T20I debut for USA on 7 April 2024, against Canada.[14]
