Minhajul Abedin Afridi(born 5 February 1999) is a Bangladeshicricketer.[1]He made hisTwenty20debut for theRangpur Ridersin the2018–19 Bangladesh Premier Leagueon 2 February 2019.[2]He made hisList Adebut forSheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Clubin the2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket Leagueon 8 March 2019.[3]He made hisfirst-classdebut on 10 October 2019, forChittagong Divisionin the2019–20 National Cricket League.[4]

In November 2019, he was named to Bangladesh's squad for the2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cupin Bangladesh.[5]Later the same month, he was selected to play for theRajshahi Royalsin the2019–20 Bangladesh Premier League,[6]and he was named to Bangladesh's squad for themen's cricket tournamentat the2019 South Asian Games.[7]The Bangladesh team won the gold medal, after they beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the final.[8]

Afridi learnt cricket due to his father's love for the game; his father was a passionate fan of thePakistani cricket teamand named him "Afridi".[9]
