Mitar Bakić(Serbian:Митар Бакић;BerislavcinearPodgorica,7 November 1908 -Belgrade,25 November 1960), was aYugoslavpolitician, general andPeople's Hero of Yugoslavia.DuringWorld War II,he waspolitical commissarof the4th Montenegrin brigade,2nd Proletarian Divisionand2nd Corps.After the war, he was the chief of staff ofJosip Broz Tito,secretary-general of the Yugoslav government and member of Yugoslav mission inUnited Nations.He also had rank of reserve lieutenant general ofYugoslav People's Army.
