NGC 461is an intermediatespiral galaxyof type SAB(s)c located in the constellationSculptor.It was discovered on September 25, 1834 byJohn Herschel.It was described byDreyeras "pretty bright, round, gradually a little brighter middle (perhaps 1° wrong?)."[2]
