Nardi test
Purposetest for dysfunction of the sphincter of Oddi,

TheNardi test, also known as themorphine-neostigmine provocation testis a test for dysfunction of thesphincter of Oddi,a valve which divides thebiliary tractfrom theduodenum. Two medications, morphineandneostigmine, are given to people withsymptomsconcerning for sphincter dysfunction, including sharp right-sidedabdominal pain.If the pain is reproduced by the medications, then dysfunction is more likely. The test poorly predicts dysfunction, however, and is rarely used today. The Nardi test was named forGeorge Nardi, who first described the procedure in 1966.
