The host was Nashville TV/radio personalityRalph Emery.The show was nominated for anACE Awardin 1987 for Music Series. Emery's sidekick wasShotgun Red,apuppetperformed by Steve Hall. It originated from TNN's studio ( "Gaslight Theater" ) atOpryland USAinNashville.It was demolished after suffering heavy damage in the2010 Tennessee floods.[1]

Reruns ofNashville Nowwere added to the relaunched Nashville Network on November 1, 2012. The show is now jointly owned by Viacom and theCountry Music Hall of Fame and Museumin Nashville TN.
