Needmore from Route 522

Needmore is in south-central Fulton County, at the intersection ofU.S. Route 522(Great Cove Road) andRoute 655(Thompson Road) inBelfast Township.US 522 leads south 7 miles (11 km) toInterstate 70atWarfordsburgand northeast 13 miles (21 km) toMcConnellsburg,the Fulton County seat. PA 655 leads south 9 miles (14 km) to theMarylandborder (theMason–Dixon line).Hancock, Maryland,is 11 miles (18 km) south via PA 655 and 12 miles (19 km) south via US 522.[citation needed]

The community is located in the valley ofTonoloway Creek,a southward-flowing tributary of thePotomac River.The north end of Tonoloway Ridge rises just south of Needmore.[citation needed]
