Nelson Lomiis a Tonganrugby leaguefootballer who representedTongain the2000 World Cup.

Playing career[edit]

Lomi was a member of theSydney City Roostersin 1999 and 2000, making hisNRLdebut in Round 23 against theBrisbane Broncos.He went on to play in five first grade matches for the Roosters.

Lomi then joined theNewtown Jetsin theNSWRL Premier League.[1][2]

Representative career[edit]

Lomi made his debut for Tonga in 1999 in a test match againstNew Zealand.[3]He was a member of the2000 World Cupsquad, getting sin-binned in the match againstFrance.[4]In all he played five test matches for Tonga between 1999 and 2000.

Later years[edit]

Lomi now works as acarpenter,working alongside fellow-NRL playerFred Briggsin 2007.[5]
