Ngāti Pōneke

Ngāti Pōneke Young Māori Clubis anUrban Māoricultural club that was formed inWellington,New Zealand,in 1937. It is a pan-tribalgroup ofMāoriwho reside in Wellington (likeNgāti ĀkaranainAucklandandNgāti RānanainLondon). "Pōneke"is a Māori language name for Wellington, derived from" Port Nicholson ".[1]
