Noam Baumann(born 10 April 1996) is a professionalfootballerwho plays as agoalkeeperforSuper League GreececlubOFI.Born in Switzerland, he plays for theDominican Republic national team.[1]

Club career[edit]

Baumann begun his senior footballing career withZug 94,and overcame knee injuries in his first season to become the starting goalie. He transferred toFC Wilon 11 February 2016.[2]Baumann then joinedFC Luganoin theSwiss Super Leagueon a loan with option to buy, on 15 March 2018.[2]

Baumann made his professional debut for Lugano in a 2-1Swiss Super Leaguewin overFC Sionon 22 July 2018.[3]

On 30 July 2022, Baumann joined Saudi Arabian clubAbhaon a two-year deal.[4]On 6 August 2022, it was announced that the club and the player both agreed to cancel the contract mutually due to Baumann's partner's circumstances.[5]

On 8 September 2022, Baumann signed withAscoliin Italy until the end of the season, with an option to extend for two more years.[6]On 31 January 2023, Baumann's contract with Ascoli was terminated by mutual consent.[7]

On 14 February 2023, Baumann returned toWiluntil the end of the season, with an option to extend.[8]

On 9 September 2023,OFIofficially announced the signing of Baumann on a two-year contract.[9]

International career[edit]

Baumann was born in Switzerland, to aSwissfather fromBernand aDominicanmother.[10]He was a youth international for Switzerland.[11][12][13][14][15]In March 2024, he was called up by theDominican Republic national team.[16]

He made his debut on 23 March 2024 in a friendly against Aruba.[17]
