Obrne(pronounced[ˈoːbəɾnɛ]) is a settlement in theMunicipality of Bledin theUpper Carniolaregion ofSlovenia.

Name

Obrne was attested in historical sources asObernachbetween 1493 and 1501.^[2]^[3]The name is believed to derive from the form *ob-vorьn-jane,sharing the same root as the common nounobora'fenced pasture; enclosed reserve for game'.^[3]
