Oliver Simis an English singer and bass guitarist. He is a member ofthe xxand released a solo album,Hideous Bastard,in 2022, which peaked at No. 58 on theUK Albums Chart.

Personal life

In 2022, Oliver Sim publicly came out as living with HIV since he was 17 years old.[1]

In September 2022, Oliver Sim appeared on NPR'sAll Things Consideredand in January 2023, appeared on an episode of NPR'sWorld Cafe.In both episodes, Sim promoted his first solo album,Hideous Bastard.Sim also talked about being an openly gay man, his HIV status, and how it influenced the writing of his first solo album.[2][3]
