Early years
[edit]Gordon grew up inFort Worth, Texas.[1][2]He attendedTrinity High SchoolinEuless, Texas.[3]While in high school Gordon was named theFort Worth Star-Telegram2020 Male High School Athlete of the Year.[4]A 4 star prospect, he committed to play college football atOklahoma State University.[4][5]
College career
[edit]After receiving limited playing time for the majority of the season, Gordon would break out for a 136-yard performance in againstWest Virginiain the final game of the 2022 season.[6][7]For his performance against West Virginia, Gordon was named thePFFTrue Freshman of the Week.[8]Gordon emerged as a star in 2023, leading the country in rushing yards with 1,732.[9]He scored 21 rushing touchdowns as well.[10]He was named the 2023Big 12 Offensive Player of the Yearand won theDoak Walker Awardafter rushing for over 1,700 yards with 22 total touchdowns.[11][12]
