Open Awardsis a national Awarding Body and Access Validating Agency with headquarters in Liverpool. They are regulated by Ofqual, Qualification Wales and are anAccess Validating Agency.They create and award educational and vocational qualifications fromEntry LeveltoLevel 4 (education),as well as Access to Higher Education Diplomas. They offer qualification across England and Wales. They also offer unregulated units.[1]

The company is registered with theQuality Assurance Agency,[2]and with the Ofqual, theOffice of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation.[3]The awards are offered by schools, colleges, businesses and offender learning institutions across England.[citation needed]

Open Awards were previously known asOpen College NetworkNorth West Region. An assessment fromWarwick Universityindicated these awards were successful atwidening participation[4]
