Pamunkey Creekis a 20.8-mile-long (33.5 km)[1]river inOrangeandSpotsylvaniacounties in theU.S. stateofVirginia.It is a tributary of theNorth Anna River.
The creek is formed by the confluence of smaller branches that rise in the town ofOrange, Virginia,then flows southeast across theVirginia Piedmont.It joins the North Anna as an arm ofLake Anna,a reservoir. Via the North Anna,Pamunkey,andYorkrivers, Pamunkey Creek is part of theChesapeake Baywatershed.
