Park Su-ilis a North Korean politician and military officer of theKorean People's Army.He is a member of theCentral Committeeof theWorkers' Party of Koreaand a delegate to theSupreme People's Assembly,North Korea'sunicameralparliament.He had served asChief of the General Staff Department of the Korean People's Armyfrom 28 December 2022 to 10 August 2023.

Biography

In 2014, he was elected to the13 convocationof theSupreme People's Assembly,representing the 137th electoral district (Phyongchonkang).[1]He was also elected to the14th convocationof the Supreme People's Assembly, representing the 183rd electoral district (Roktusan).[2]Following the7th Congressof theWorkers' Party of Korea,he was elected to the7th Central Committee of the Party.[3][4]He served as the commander of a military unit on the border with China. In September 2018 he was appointed to the head of the General Staff Operations Bureau.[5]

Park was appointedChief of the General Staffon 28 December 2022.[6]On 10 August 2023, Park was "dismissed", and his position was taken over by GeneralRi Yong-gil.[7][8]
