Parliament of Negrete (1726)
The1726 Parliament of Negretewas a diplomatic meeting betweenMapuchesandSpanishauthorities held inNegrete(a town in present-dayChile). During the parliament apeace treatywas signed, bringing an end to a period of warfare that begun in with theMapuche uprising of 1723.[1]
