Peter Jonas Bergius, 1847

Peter Jonas Bergius(13 July 1730 – 10 July 1790) was aSwedishmedical doctorandbotanist.[1]

In 1758 Bergius was elected a member of theRoyal Swedish Academy of Sciences.[1]In 1768 he was elected to membership of theAmerican Philosophical Society.[2]He was elected aFellow of the Royal Societyin 1770[3]and a Foreign Honorary Member of theAmerican Academy of Arts and Sciencesin 1785.[4]
