Pevarini(misspelledpeveriniin one notable source[1]) is a traditional peppercookieofVenice,Italy.[2]It is traditionally made withmolasses,lard,white pepper,andflour.[2][3]Modern recipes forpevarinioften usebutteras a substitute for lard.[2][4]Spices such ascinnamon,nutmeg,andclovesare common additions to the cookie.[2][4]

Etymology
