Early years
[edit]Arditti was born in Geneva in 1979 of Italian and TurkishJewishSephardicdescent, and grew up inIstanbuland moved toLondonin 1999. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2004.
Career
[edit]He began his TV and film career in some of British television's most popular series includingCasualty,SpooksandSilent Witness.He also appeared in the British comedy drama filmHappy-Go-Lucky.
His radio plays includeSnow(adapted from thenovelbyOrhan Pamuk) and[1][permanent dead link]
In 2013, he appeared in Turkish television seriesSonand in the filmSinging Womendirected by Turkish film directorReha Erdem.In 2014 he appeared in theBBC/SundanceTV dramaThe Honourable Womandirected byHugo BlickoppositeMaggie Gyllenhaalwhere he played Saleh Al-Zahid.
In 2014, he played a goatherd in theGame of Thronesepisode,The Laws of Gods and Men.
On the stage Arditti playedYossarian,the New York bomb aimer, inJoseph Heller's stage adaptation of his novelCatch-22on a UK national tour directed byRachel Chavkin.He is a regular performer at London'sNational Theatre,including roles inEngland People Very Nice(2009),Blood and Gifts(2010),Holy Rosenbergs(2011). In September 2017 he playedUri SavirinJ.T. Rogers'sstage playOsloat the venue's Lyttelton auditorium, accompanying the production when it transferred to theWest Endin the following month.[1][2]
