Pictonis asuburbof theCity of Bunburyin theSouth Westregion of Western Australia. Both theSouth Western Highwayand theSouth Western Railwaydissect the suburb from east to west.[2][3]

The City of Bunbury and the suburb of Picton are located on the traditional land of theWardandi(also spelled Wadandi) people of theNoongarnation.[4][5][6]

The suburb contains a number of heritage-listed sites, among them thestate registeredSt Mark's Anglican Church, the Picton Inn Hotel and the Forrest Homestead.[7]Both the Picton Inn Hotel and the Forrest Homestead date back to around 1850.[8][9]
