Poborzans,[a]also spelled asPobożans,[b]are anethnographic groupofPolish people,that are part of the ethnographic subgroup ofMasovians.They originate from the north westMasovia,located within the region ofPoborzeandZawkrze,to the north ofMławariver.[1]The group is descendant of thePolish nobilitythat had inhabit the area in theLate Middle Ages.They are culturally separate from the neighbouring groups.[2][3]
