Theprokineticin receptoris aG protein-coupled receptorwhich binds the peptide hormoneprokineticin.There are two variants each encoded by a different gene (PROKR1,PROKR2).[1]These receptors mediate gastrointestinal smooth muscle contraction andangiogenesis.
