Reeta Rao

Reeta Prusty Raois an American biologist who researches fungal diseases. She is chair of the department of biology and biotechnology atWorcester Polytechnic Institute.

Life[edit]

Rao earned a Ph.D. fromPennsylvania State Universityin 1999.[1]She completed postdoctoral research at theWhitehead Institutein 2005.[1]

Rao is a biologist who researches emerging infectious diseases with a focus onfungal diseases.[1]She joinedWorcester Polytechnic Institutein 2004 and became chair of its department of biology and biotechnology in 2022.[1]Rao was elected a fellow of theAmerican Academy of Microbiologyand theAmerican Association for the Advancement of Sciencein 2018 and 2022 respectively.[2]
