Riko Kawahata(Xuyên điền lê hô,Kawahata Riko)is a Japaneseprofessional wrestlercurrently competing inMarvelous That's Women Pro Wrestlingwhere she is one half of the currentAAAW Tag Team ChampionsalongsideMaria.She is also known for her tenure withPro Wrestling Noahwhere she competes under the gimmick ofGreat Sakuya,as well as for various other stints with promotions from the Japanese independent scene such asSeadlinnngandPro Wrestling Wave.[3]

Kawahata made herprofessional wrestlingdebut inActwres girl'ZatAgZ Actwres girl'Z In Korakuenon November 15, 2018, where she fell short toMiku Aonoin singles competition.[4]In AWG, she was a member of T-Hearts.[5]She participated in a number one contendership tournament for theAWG Single Championshipin which she defeated Ayumi Hayashi in the semifinals andMisa Matsuiin the finals fromAWG Actwres girl'Z In Korakuen Hallon November 6, 2019, but never got to challenge for the championship.[6]Kawahata often competed in AWG Color's, a branch of events promoted by AWG. At one of these events from January 19, 2020, she teamed up with Mii and unsuccessfully challenged Tropikawild (SakiandYuna Mizumori) for theAsia Dream Tag Team Championship.[7]

Kawahata made her first appearance inMarvelousat ahouse showfrom January 26, 2020, where she wrestledMei Hoshizukiinto a time-limit draw.[8]At ahouse showfrom December 10, 2023, she teamed up with "Magenta" tag team partner Maria to defeat Chikayo Nagashima andTakumi Irohafor theAAAW Tag Team Championship.[9]

Pro Wrestling Wave (2020–2023)

Another promotion with which Kawahata has shared a brief tenure wasPro Wrestling Wave.She made her first appearance atWAVE NAMI 1on February 1, 2020, where she went into a time-limit draw against Maria.[10]She competed in one of the promotion's signature events, theCatch the Wavetournament in which she made her first appearance at the 2022 edition where she has fought in the "Future Block", scoring a total of four points after going againstSuzu Suzuki,Haruka Umesaki,KohakuandChie Ozora.[11]One year later at the 2023 edition, Kawahata placed herself in the Block B where she scored a total of two points after competing against Saki,Risa Sera,Miyuki TakaseandKakeru Sekiguchi.[12]

Kawahata competed for a couple of accomplishments put at stake by Wave. AtWAVE Survival Dance ~ Regina Challengeon October 24, 2022, Kawahata wrestled in a number one contendershipbattle royalfor theWave Single Championshipwon byYuki Miyazakiand also involving various other notable opponents such asAkane Fujita,Sae,Miyako Matsumoto,Tsubasa Kuragaki,Sakura Hirota,Momo Taniand many others.[13]AtWAVE PHASE 2 Reboot 3rd ~ NAMI 1on February 1, 2023, Kawahata teamed up with Kakeru Sekiguchi to unsuccessfully challengegalaxyPunch!(Hikari Shimizuand Saki) for theWave Tag Team Championship.[14]

Kawahata competed atDDT Pro-Wrestling'sNever Mind 2022event where she teamed up withSaori Anouin a losing effort against Reiwa Ban AA Cannon (Saki AkaiandYuki Arai).[15]

Seadlinnng (2021–2023)

Another promotion with which Kawahata has shared a compact tenure wasSeadlinnng.She made her first appearance atSEAdLINNNG New Leaf 2021on February 26, where she teamed up withArisa NakajimaandNanae Takahashito defear Las Fresa de Egoistas (AsukaandMakoto) andTsukushi Haruka.[16]AtSEAdLINNNG Grow Together! 2021on March 17, Kawahata teamed up with Honori Hana as "Citrus Wind" and won the one-night Get A Dream Tournament by defeatingChikayo Nagashimaand Tsukushi Haruka in the finals.[17]This win granted Kawahata and Hana the number one contendership for theBeyond the Sea Tag Team Championshipwhich they unsuccessfully challenged for atSEAdLINNNG Special NIGHT!on April 26, 2021, by falling short to reigning champions and Citrus Wind stablemates Arisa nakajima and Nanae Takahashi.[18]AtSEAdLINNNG Vibrant Februaryon February 16, 2023, she unsuccessfully challenged Nakajima for theBeyond the Sea Single Championship.[19]

Kawahata made her first appearance inPro Wrestling NoahatNOAH Monday Magic #1on October 9, 2023, where she teamed up withYuuin a losing effort againstMio MomonoandTakumi Iroha.[20]In late November 2023, Kawahata appeared under the gimmick of "Great Sakuya", the kayfabe daughter ofThe Great Muta.[21]She wrestled her first match under this gimmick atNoah The New Year 2024on January 1, where she teamed up withNagisa Nozakiin a losing effort against Luminous (Haruka Umesakiand Miyuki Takase).[22]
