TheRiss(German:Riß) is a smallriverinBaden-Württemberg,south-westernGermany,right tributary of theDanube.Its source is in UpperSwabia,betweenBad WaldseeandBad Schussenried.It flows north, through the town ofBiberach an der Riss.It then flows into the Danube one mile north ofRißtissenbetweenEhingenandErbach,approximately 20 km upstream fromUlm.Its total length is approximately 50 km.
The Riss gave its name to theRiss glaciation,anice age.
