TheRiver Shiel(Scottish Gaelic:Abhainn Seile) is a four-kilometre-long river betweenMoidartandArdnamurchanin theScottish Highlands.It begins atAcharacle,at the western end ofLoch Shiel,and flows northwest towards Dorlin, where it empties intoLoch Moidart.The river containssalmonandsea trout,as well as native residentbrown troutweighing up to six pounds.
