Roag(Scottish Gaelic:Ròdhag), meaning noisy place or 'deer bay' inNorse,is a small remote scattered hamlet on the north west shore ofPool Roagin the west of theDuirinishpeninsula. Located on theIsle of Skye,Scottish Highlands,it is in theScottishcouncil area ofHighland.
The villages ofHeribostapproximately1⁄2mile (800 metres) northeast,Orbostlying less than1⁄2mile (800 metres) southeast of Roag, and Ardraog lying closer to the shore are considered part of Roag.Harloshlies on the other side of Loch Vatten.
Roag also overlooks the sea lochsLoch Na FaolinnandLoch Bracadale.
