Robert Blamire(born c. 1959) is known primarily as bassist for the punk andnew wavebandPenetration.

He founded the band along with singerPauline Murrayin 1976 after seeing a performance byThe Sex Pistols.After the band split up, he and Murray went on to formThe Invisible Girlswith members ofJohn Cooper Clarke's backing band.

He also worked withPatrik Fitzgerald,[1][2]and produced Scottishpost-punkband TheScars' only album,Author! Author!.

As of 2006, he was lecturing on Graphic Design.[3]
