Ruben Reuter(born 28 June 2000)[2]is an English actor and journalist, best known for his role asFinn McLaineinThe Dumping Ground.

Early and personal life

Reuter was born inHuddersfieldto parents Kim Reuter and Russ Elias.[3][4]Reuter hasDown syndromeand attendedRoyds Hall School.[4][1]He is trained by his parents' theatre group, Shabang!.[1]

Career

Reuter appeared in an episode ofMy Lifein 2013.[5]Reuter joinedThe Dumping Groundin series 3 asFinn McLaine.[1][6]Reuter reprised the role of Finn McLaine in aThe Dumping Groundspin-off,The Dumping Ground: I'm...,awebisodeseries.

He also works as a reporter and disability correspondent forChannel 4 News.[7]

Reuter and actressRuth Madeley,who hasspina bifida,appeared in a documentary from Channel 4 on disability and abortion titledDisability and Abortion: The Hardest Choice.The documentary aired in August 2022.[8][9]
