San Jacinto National Forest

San Jacinto National Forestwas established as theSan Jacinto Forest Reserveby theUnited States General Land OfficeinCaliforniaon February 22, 1897 with 740,000 acres (3,000 km2). After the transfer of federal forests to theU.S. Forest Servicein 1905, it became aNational Foreston March 4, 1907. On July 1, 1908 the entire forest was combined withTrabuco Canyon National Forestto establishCleveland National Forest,and the name was discontinued.[1]
