Senjan(Persian:سنجان)[a]was a city in theCentral DistrictofArak County,Markaziprovince,Iran.It served as the administrative center forSedeh Rural District[4]until its capital was transferred to the village ofZamen Jan.[5]

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 10,592 in 2,897 households.[6]The following census in 2011 counted 12,249 people in 3,730 households.[2]

In November 2013, Senjan and the former city ofKarahrudwere merged with the city ofArak.At the same time,Zamen Janbecame the capital ofSedeh Rural District.[5]
